The China Study by Campbell

The New York Times has recognized the study (China-Oxford-Cornell Diet and Health Project) as the “Grand Prix of epidemiology” and the “most comprehensive large study ever undertaken of the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease.”

The research project culminated in a 20-year partnership of Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, a survey of diseases and lifestyle factors in rural China and Taiwan. More commonly known as the China Study, “this project eventually produced more than 8000 statistically significant associations between various dietary factors and disease.”

The findings? “People who ate the most animal-based foods got the most chronic disease … People who ate the most plant-based foods were the healthiest and tended to avoid chronic disease. These results could not be ignored,” said Dr. Campbell.

In The China Study, Dr. Campbell details the connection between nutrition and heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, and also its ability to reduce or reverse the risk or effects of these deadly illnesses. The China Study also examines the source of nutritional confusion produced by powerful lobbies, government entities, and irresponsible scientists.

A raw food diet is not just good for you – it’s also good science! You don’t have to take our word for it, have ‘faith’ or trust the latest nutrition guru.

Science proves that cooking not only destroys nutrition and enzymes, but chemically changes foods from the substances needed for health into free-radicals and poisons that destroy our health!

On this website you’ll find out what happens when you eat raw, whole foods rather than cooked or prepared foods! You’ll see numerous references from scientific literature you can check out for yourself, as well as other useful perspectives about the concept I call “Whole Food, Whole Being, Whole Planet!TM”… read more: http://www.rawfoodlife.com/

What we eat and how we treat our bodies on a daily basis have a very powerful effect on our health and quality of life. Although cancer can affect many different parts of the body, the foods that prevent cancer and deter cancer growth are generally the same. Fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes all have important nutrients and other cancer-fighting substances like phytochemicals and pectin that strengthen immune function and destroy cancer-causing substances before they cause harm. Research has shown that people who eat a diet free of animal products, high in plant foods, and low in fat have a much lower risk of developing cancer.  Search for research and fact sheets on topics listed below.

One Response to “Resources”

  1. After Reb Jason heard about some of the above mentioned studies, he agreed for me to interview him on my radio show, and he made the following comment: Kashrut is a roadmap to Vegetarianism! He is a vegetarian, and both of his children (boy and a girl) are vegan. There is a symbol Kosher Vegan that has the three words Eat with Compassion written under the main title Kosher Vegan which is used as a label in Jerusalem and other parts of the world. I am currently looking forward to finding the combined label of Kosher-Vegan-Raw, one day. I have already seen Hebrew labels that include descriptions of raw ingredients and Kosher but not yet found them as a combined symbol…

Please contact me about your views on raw and Kosher… thanks! a11massage@aol.com
